The following offices give guidance, care, assistance and support to the Brown community

Office of Student Life

Offers support for personal or community issues, crisis support 24 hours a day, and houses the Office of Student Conduct.

Academic Deans and Support

Advice on academic support and opportunities, including issues and concerns of any nature that impact students' academic life, are available through the Office of the Dean of the College (for undergraduates), the Graduate School (for PhD and master's students), and the Medical School (for medical students). Academic support services are also available, including the Science Center and the Writing Center.

Student and Employee Accessibility Services (SEAS)

Provides information and coordinates services for people on campus who need accommodations or support due to physical, psychological or learning disabilities.

Health Services

Offers comprehensive health care, including routine care and “well visits,” Services include pharmacy, lab, x-ray, health education and Brown EMS.

LGBTQ Center

Serves as a source for information and advocacy on gender and sexuality issues, working to create a safe, open environment for LGBTQ members of the community.

Office of the Chaplains and Religious Life

Supports spiritual life, promotes religious literacy, interfaith dialogue and religious services, and provides support and individual counsel.

Counseling and Psychological Services

Offers free and confidential assessment, crisis intervention, and brief psychotherapy.

Sarah Doyle Women’s Center

Examines gender issues, offering programs and an in-house library.

Brown Center for Students of Color

Integrates academic and extracurricular interests through the celebration of diversity and promotion of cross-cultural understanding.

International Student Resources

Advice, policies, and links organized primarily for undergraduates but also useful for graduate and medical students from outside the United States.

First-Generation College and Low-Income Student Center

Provides communal academic and social space for members of the Brown community, who identify with the first-generation college and/or low-income-student experience.

Department of Public Safety

Ensures the safety and security of more than 10,000 students, staff, faculty and guests.
